About the Brand

"and the little dog laughed" was launched in 2008 by Australian designer, Kylie Platt. With a passion for fabrics and design, Kylie designs timeless pieces that evoke a sense of nostalgia. The name of the label, and the little dog laughed, comes from one of Kylie's favorite nursery rhymes, Hey Diddle Diddle.

Since its initial launch, the brand has expanded from signature hand crochet blankets and knitted softies for babies and children to include a growing range of wool blend softies with Australian merino wool knitted clothing, as well as their newly launched 100% cotton plush softies. (By the way, have you met Petunia Duck yet? She is 100% cotton plush, loves ice-cream sundaes and collecting things and is crowd favorite).
